I was in the car with my older sister and mom one day.
Mom: You know, if you have a boyfriend now, its ok, you’re old enough to meet nice boys.
Sister: Thanks mom, I know, and no I don’t have a boyfriend.
Mom: Good because if you do, I’ll kill you.

So how does mom really feel about you having a boyfriend? Is she okay with it or not? She gotta make up her mind. :D

When I was in college (undergrad) it was NOT OK to have a boyfriend.
Then I went to grad school. The years went by. I was busy, and didn't meet anyone “my type” in the rural college towns.
When I was in my late '30s' mom tentatively brought up the subject of bfs on her OWN initiative for the FIRST time. Unh unh… no contenders.

I'm 46 now, and (happily!) single.

OUCH. I bet your mom deeply regretted her decision to forbid relationships as an undergrad now…

omg that's the same with my mom -___-

“eunsol-ah you can go out with a boy if you really like him!”
    –sometime later that year–
“umma, i think i like this boy and he likes me back too…”
“eunsol-ah you need to think about the future. go study and get into college. and when you're out of my house, you can do whatever you want. but you have to get into college.”
