There is a good advice from my friend Millie: don’t accept any drinks on a party and you don’t know the host well, also don’t take a drink from a strange on the party. You get your drink by yourself. Or bring your own drinks. Millie has lived through the 70s when young people went crazy about substances. When you are happy and excited, take a step back and compose, you won’t lose your ground.

Mom: Did you get my text message??
Me: Yes, mommy, I was soooo surprised. Did someone type it for you?
Mom: Nope, I type it myself.
Me: I didn’t even know you knew how to text on your phone.
Mom: Yes, I type in, “Thanks.” Actually, I just type “T”, and “Thanks” showed up. And I send it.
Me: Ohhh, you did auto-complete. You cheated.
Mom: After I send it, I told your daddy, “I should’ve typed, ‘I type it myself’ in the text.” Your daddy say, “That would take you a month to type.”

She called me 5 minutes after I sent that text.
Mom: Phyllis! I don’t know how to spell recipe!
Me: Ohhh haha, yeah, I got the recipe mom.
Mom: Okay I love you, bye.
Me: I love you too.
Text after the call:
Mom: How do u spell it ?re s pc?
Me: Recipe.
Mom: Miss u……….
