What's even funnier is that's not a recipe. I love how foreign women think that all you need to know are the ingredients — the “how to combine” and “in what quantities” parts should be intuitive. See, this is why I can never learn to cook anything.

Hahah, for real — my mom just gives me ingredient lists too and expects that I know how to throw them together.

It's so true… And then when you try to make it, she tells you it's all wrong and kicks you out of the kitchen to “fix” it.

When we lived in Korea, our housekeeper gave us a recipe for Japchae just like this. No amounts or proportions or cooking time. We tried it on our own and it was a mess! LOL!

My dad does this but I've never minded and I've never had trouble cooking. We never owned any measuring cups/spoons/etc. so it didn't make sense to give measurements, particularly if you're scaling up or down. Either way, you sort of just make it to taste and develop your 6th sense that way. It's probably how my parents did it since cooking was a daily occurrence all their lives and still is.

When you hear the purase prom dress they often think of some tattered, cheap prom dresses fabric held together with safety pins promoted as a prom dress gown. But some of the best prom dresses available are those only a few years old, such as the 2011 prom dresses or 2012 prom dress styles.
